Hannah King

Finding the Joy in Music

Our first remarkable guest is Hannah King from https://hannahkingmusic.com, a talented singer, songwriter, and fiddle player based in Montana.

Hannah's journey, from fiddle competitions to significant collaborations in the music industry, will be explored in the podcast. She will share her love for music and her experiences. Hannah's episode will be released on March 8th, International Women’s Day.

Hannah's musical path began at age 6 when her mom enrolled her in fiddle lessons in a small Montana town. Captivated by bands like George Strait & Ace in the Hole and Alison Krauss & Union Station, she developed a passion for the fiddle. Hannah honed her skills in Texas Style fiddling, participating in competitions nationwide, winning multiple Montana State and regional titles, and ultimately achieving the 2014 National Young Adult champion title, a dream come true for her.

"After years of competitive music, I yearned for a more creative and expressive musical experience. Writing my own music became a way to navigate life and hopefully resonate with others," says King. In November 2020, she released her first all-original, self-titled EP – a mix of Western Swing, Bluegrass, and Country tones with a prominent fiddle presence. Honest lyrics coupled with her angelic voice create captivating music.

Following her debut EP, she released Hannah King Part 2, performing it at the 2021 Under the Big Sky Festival. Both EPs feature acclaimed musicians like 15-time Grammy winner Barry Bales (Alison Krauss), CMA musician of the year Jenee Fleenor (Blake Shelton), and others. Hannah is currently sharing her music in Montana, Tennessee, and Georgia, with plans to return to the Under the Big Sky festival in Whitefish, MT and upcoming concert series with the release of new music.
